About Me

I have 50+ years of making music my profession! Teaching is an art form that I have mastered over the years and I love sharing my knowledge and experience.

After studying music theory in school, I started my professional career in 1968 as a studio musician and live performer. In 1973 I became the lead guitarist for Mach One, the Air Force's FIRST rock band, stationed at Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C. During my stint with Mach One, I toured the United States, performing at major colleges, concert venues, and the White House, and also made appearances on countless TV shows. After the Air Force, I continued my dedication to music which included working as a Talent Agent in California's Bay Area and as a hired guitarist for multiple well-known acts.  I've now been teaching for over 20 years and I've grown quite a bit from the experience. Patience is key for both the student and the teacher and I'd like to think that this is my biggest strength.
